Originally from Cincinnati, Dr. Maggie O’Brian has always been passionate about animal health and behavior. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Nutrition from The Ohio State University before completing her veterinary degree at the The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017.

After graduation, Dr. O’Brian spent a year working in emergency and primary care medicine before pursuing a three-year residency in Behavioral Medicine at Ohio State. She completed her residency in 2021 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (DACVB) later that year, making her the only board-certified veterinary behaviorist in Charlotte.

Today, Dr. O’Brian lives in Huntersville with her husband, Colin, their toddler, Wally, their baby, June, and their beloved dog, Mashed Potatoes (“Mashy”).
